I wanted a rocket, Insurance said otherwise. I went to buy a Victory Hammer and the dealer F'ed me. I dislike the NRS so I never considered one. Got on hd's site and saw the F and I could get it in yellow! Ordered it and 3 months later it came in. I would have never bought a hd otherwise but, its funny what time does to you. After a little over a year with my F, I want a Yellow street glide too.

I was narrowed down to either a Hammer S or a Muscle. I found this denim blue F, bought it on the spot.
I would definitely not say that other than that I wouldn't buy any other Harley though...I had a Harley Rocker as my third option to these 2 for a street cruiser.

I consider myself to be a true bike enthusiast and because of that I never rule out any brand....if its got 2 wheels and a running motor I'll give it a go.

I saw a sweet flat black road glide a little while ago and that thing looked right out of Mad Max....loved the look of it...badass...I could rock that mf'er for sure.
I was at the BMW dealership a few weeks ago with a buddy who just loves that brand and they had a wicked looking sport bike there that I'd just love to make suffer out on a twisty road.

A guy I know just recently bought an old '89 Harley FXR as a project for $1500. He has it raked out a little in front but has a custom built motor in it now and when it is painted and on the road it wil be a sweet bike indeed and if I am very lucky he'll let me give it a whirl.
An old FXR is nothing special but as an enthusiast you can take something like that or an old Triumph, Kawasaki gpz or whatever and with a few bucks and some elbow grease can have a badass ride that you won't see everyone else with.

Some people I know pretend to be true bike enthusiasts but then give you all kinds of stories (often childish) about why Harleys suck or why Japanese bikes are this or that, BMW's are too ugly, Ducati's are too whatever...blah, blah, blah....got no time for that...lifes too short.
Just ride what you like, have a blast and keep the shiny side up.

(12yellowmuscle-I was at the dealer picking up a few shiny parts for the wifes bike and I saw a 2013 yellow street glide and the metallic paint really caught my eye...that'd be a sweet ride for sure)

Have a safe one brothers.

No Muscle, No Harley!!

I had been on sport bikes (Kawa, Suzi) since I was 18 years old. Got a Suzi M109R to old man throttle back and realized that there was power and agility in a big cruiser also. Test drove HD Dyna/Softail/Glides and refused to pay more money to go slower, less manuverabilty, leak oil, expensive parts/merchandise and bad customer appreciation. Just about to pull trigger on a 2011 Vegas Jackpot, until I saw the yellow/black Muscle, "she will be mine"!

Now I suffer from a bad fuel gauge, awkward seat, strange passngr peg placement, sucky foot peg design..... but most importantly, I love that biatch:alien::moped:!!!

Ride on.....

:them: except for the "R" :yak:

Muscle lover

Love at first sight.
Went to the HD dealer one of these days, mention to the guy that I cpuld see myself into a Road King. He mentioned about trading the Muscle and I just laugh briefly.
- He asked why?
- And I asked him what is your bike?
- He said a Glide and . . .
- I said, you can't understand buddy.
I can have a Road King, but the M it'll be always the first love, undivorceable, LOL

I've never really cared for Harley but if it wasn't for their step children then I would have never bought one. Always loved the buells and was lucky enough to get one before they quit making them. Now the tough part is trying to get parts. I've alway had my eye on the muscle and was looking them up on the comp and my wife said the yellow one was pretty. I told her I would look prettier in the garage and she called the finance company the next day to get it for me. And now it's tough to find parts for the F too

LOOKS LIKE I'M NOT ALONE IN MY BIKE CHOICE AND THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO,,,Next week a few more threads that others can relate to, here's a taste :D
1. How i got rid of chlamydia (she was hot and looked clean, who knew)
2. How i became one armed, STORY STARTS LIKE THIS: At first glance from a distance she looked hot, the next day after sobering up and looking across the bed i chewed my arm off so i didn't wake that hideous women up
4. Never pee in your garage in the dark, 12v batteries seem pretty harmless except on the old twig and berries
5. well I'll leave that one open for a special time

#2 is called "Coyote Ugly" because you chewed your arm off to avoid waking her. "Double Coyote Ugly" is when you chew your *other* arm off to avoid making the same mistake twice!

Went straight to the Health Dept and got busted in the ass with about a 9 in syringe:mad:, all fixed up:angeldev:!! Then went home and called the same Biatch:wazzup::barf:!!!!!

My Muscle has never given me any STD, thats another reason to love that wench!

Ride on.....

Bought my first bike when i was 18. Couldnt afford a Harley and didnt really care for the blocky look. Had two Yamahas that had the HD look but with curves and 4 cylinders so smoother. Then went to Kaw Ninja. Bikeless for twenty years and was going Harley. Loved the Vrod from its birth because it doesnt have that ole blockyness. Walked into a dealership and saw my first muscle. Shopped around and went back and rode home on the first one. My biggest fear was they would come out with another model I liked better. Go to the demo rides every year and ride several bikes. Love the BA looks of the fat boy lo but it was horrible. Love the street glide and thought the 103 with dual exhaust would be the one. I guess I am spoiled because the excelleration sucked and shook too much under hard excel. I would still have a Harley but am so glad for the Vrod. But if they ever put this fine motor in a bagger they will have to make a ten gallon tank. Impossible to stay off the throttle so my car almost gets better mileage.

Ditto, kinda sorta

if no Muscle would have been around, then it would have been a Nightrod ....if no Nightrod, it would have been a V-Rod ....if no V-Rod then Id probably be on a Triumph Rocket right now
:them:

I would enjoy a crotch rocket, but shoulda got one of those twenty years ago... I did visit the local Triumph dealer and the Speed Triple caught my eye. I told the salesman that I was wanting the V-Rod Muscle and what does Triumph have to compare to it. I said I had to have liquid cooling and anti-lock brakes. He said they had nothing and pretty much left me alone.

If no Muscle, then probably a different V-Rod. If no V-Rod, then no Harley, but maybe a sporty little bike because I'm not in the slow lane yet!!

I wanted a busa so bad! Thats they only bike I would trade my F for in a blink of the eye!! To bad the insurance is so high.

I'm a little worried I'll miss my Shaft Drive but other than that ... IMHO Best bike Harleys Makes is the V line. I also like the Deluxe but want Liquid Cooled so I started looking at V's I like them all but the only tow that would pull me off what I ride now is the CVO SE or and the Muscle ... come spring I'll be on one or the other for sure.

Also really fell in love with the V-Rex, but don't think they make them any more
