I wanted a busa so bad! Thats they only bike I would trade my F for in a blink of the eye!! To bad the insurance is so high.
did you say busa? i had a 99 and drag raced it for one purpose only, to go under ten seconds. All i did to get there was lower it 1 inch (simple 100$ way of doing it) and added a slick and wheelie bar. No tune, no exhaust nothing else at all.
Ran 9.85 at 135 8 times before i fell off,lol. The slick being so low tire pressure (7 psi) at the end of a bad track i hit a couple of bumps bounced weird off the wheelie bars and threw me off before i could do anything about it. Heres a video of a 9 second pass, quietest 9 second anything i bet. paul
 
Well now it all makes scenes? why you have so few miles on your Black Beauty. You like to to do your riding 1/4 mile at a time. I could see how it would take You a few years to fine that yellow light in your dash. Too cool I hope to get up that fast some day.:stilpoke:
 
I had a ninja. ZX12R. Did 10sec flat in the 1/4 at 131.44 stock. My muscle is slower but so much cooler.... from what I'm seeing if I get the right cams, tune, and boost by 5-8 psi.... low eights. Its nice just knowing....

My phone is better than your phone....

A mate at the gym has a Hyabusa ...he wants to sell it to get a Vrod ......Shit yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!

But havent they got like 180hp straight out of the shop !!!
180 easy, they limit the speed on em but there are easy ways around it. On mine i put a shift tricker on it where the bike always thot it was in neutral and in neutral there is no speed limit because the bike assumes its not moving. I could ran as fast as the bike would go. Saw 200mph on the speedo a couple of times but because bike speedo's are off by anywhere between 2-4 mph every 60 mph i figure it was more realistically doing about 190ish.

To get over a "TRUE" 200mph on the busa you need to do one of 2 things. 1. make it more airodynamic by adding a nose cone, front wheel cone, windshield suit and a bunch of other tuning work on the engine and body.. or 2. up the gearing and increase the HP with a turbo.
My first goal was the 9.85 quarter then I was gonna get a turbo and a front cover and gearing to run hopefully around 210mph. That got stopped with a sudden crash at the drag strip, some surgery and my second kid being born, lol. paul
 
I hated HD with passion. Slow, heavy, poor handling, poor breaking, outdated technology, leaks from wherever possible. And they killed my beloved Buell >:|

Then few years ago while driving I was passed by something low long and black. Looked at it at the red light and got surprised by a HD badge on it. I liked it. Went on the interwebz to research. It was Night Rod Special. But wait I saw Muscle there next on the web page and fell in love. Excellent looking bike. No modification needed, perfect design. Got to have it. Went multiple times to dealerships and bike shows to stare at it. But price killed it for me at that time...

Guess what? Now is the time. Picking up my F this weekend :) still upset they killed the Buell off though.

If not F it would be probably Night Rod Special. If not that I wouldn't look at Harleys at all and ride my old Buell.

Ok so I did it ... I ordered my Muscle ... very excitted!

I have some Mod questions.

1] Pipes ... I'm going to bag her out (stretched bags) so I do want to keep the split pipes even though I know the 2 into 1 would give me more power (that at this time I don't need). I'd like to stay away from chrome (I think) any suggestions?
