Yeah, that is why you get the service manual for the year bike you have.:stilpoke: No one said that you get an '02 manual for an '08
I was responding to this comment!:stilpoke: Stay awake!

It's right in your manual. Most of your answers are there. Not trying rude but we all have the same manual which covers a lot.

That's the first time anyone else has called my bike a " HARLEY " . Usually people are saying " That's not a REAL Harley.... " LOL :notworth:

question: the a and b and all the rest except the r had the same frame headset at 33 degrees and a rake at +3 degrees, but the R had a 0 degree rake right? I would like to know if anybody has a 0 degree tree for the A or experience with this-Is this to twitchy? Oh and I agree that the wide back tire is like molasses and was devised only to hold the 5 gallon tank on the '04 and later models.

The R doesn't have a 0* rake. It has a 30.0*/4.3 rake and trail where the rest of the V-Rods have 34.0*/4.5 rake and trail. This is for the '07's. For the '08's the D only has 34* with no spec for the trial. And just so you know the first year the 5 gallon take came out was in 2006 on the VRSCR. It has a stock 180 standard. The 5 gallon tanks showed up on all '07 models with the '07 R and '07 D stil having a 180 rear tire. So the 5 gallon tank has nothing to do with the "wide back tire".

I was referring to the other models except for the R. and I thank you for the info on the 07 D Thats what cool about this site is the exchange of info. You certainly don't get it from the MOCo Sorry I wasn't to clear on that.
In fact most of what I wrote wasn't very articulate.
The triple trees have added angle in them but I do not know how much. It probably is included in the rake/trail figure. I just wish mine had less rake.

VR=Revolution Engine
SC=Street Custom
A = V-Rod (Low/Forward Controls, lean angle 32.0°)
AW = V-Rod Wide (Low/Forward Controls, lean angle 32.0°, 240 tire)
B = Black (frame) V-Rod (Low/Forward Controls, lean angle 32.0°)
D = Night Rod (Low/Mid-Controls/highway pegs, lean angle 32.0°)
DX = Night Rod Custom (Very Low, Forward Controls, lean angle 32.0°, 240 tire)
R = street Rod (High, Mid Controls, lean angle 40.0°)

Really the VRSC R is the only one that is technically different. the DX is like 1/2" lower than the others, but has the same lean angle. And the D has mids.

:them: Exactly!

Thats because the 02 and 03 (Except the 2 toned ones) are the only REAL VRODS, everything afterwards are just HArleys
Yet it seems the only people who care are the 2002 and 2003 Vrod owners. Any other H-D biker will look over at an A, B, D, DX, R, SE, or X and call it a V-rod. They do not care that a paint job makes it a B, or that a cowl makes it a D. It is easier to remember V-rod as opposed to VRSC.

At least it is better than Digger. :hidesbeh:

my SC stands for SuperCharged!

I found this in the online dictionary. This should clear a few things up. It also talks about Max and 1130cc.com scroll down to The Revolution Engine, Current Model Designations, the referance to Max & 1130cc.com is under (Model Families- VRSC), http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Harley-Davidson

well did it learn you anything..............
