Hey all,
We lost my mother October 2007 after a 30+ year battle with MS. My Father has a bunch of equipment that he wants me to get rid of. I talked to local charities and they all want to resell it to make money. I'd rather give it to someone than see it resold.
I'll post a detailed list if there's any interest. But I know we've got an electric wheel chair, air cushion "roho" seat, shower chairs, power lift system that goes in van or on wall in bathroom, some folding aluminum ramps, 3 hoyer lifts etc... all the goodies. I think the power chair alone was $15,000 when new. If anyone could use these things send me a PM.
We also have a couple custom racks we built to haul her quickie portable wheelchair on the back of my dad's goldwing - one's steel and the other is aluminum. They slide right into the hitch receiver and the folded up quickie just sits down in the rack and bungees on. He used that when they rode from Ithaca New York to Billings Montana one year - we bungeed her on the bike as well. Now that's hard core lol - they actually won "couple of the year" for GWRRA that year.
Anyways PM me if you know someone that could use any of this equipment.
