FYI-

There are many different products that clean or keep combustion chambers and valves clean. I use a product from Wellworth called Master Blaster. It’s an aerosol that you spray and let it sit.

For the VR, remove the air filter and ECM fuse, open the throttle all the way, and crank the engine while spraying down each throttle bore. Let it sit at least overnight. The longer you wait the better. Put the fuse and a/f back. Start it up and let the smoke out.

I also run a product in the fuel to help keep deposits down and keep injectors clean. Startron, Seafoam, Techron etc.

What techniques do you use to keep your machine running fresh?

Shell V power gas seems to clean the deposits off of the intake valves over time. A common issue with injectors spraying directly on the intake valve heads. I was surprised the fuel actually does what it claims. Never found the need to do the combustion chamber but if I did it would be water spray injection down the throttle bodies, removing the O2 sensors first and oil change after.

Hmmm I was not aware that u can spray something in and clean the valves. I guess on the V it would be different than a car. Is this ok with cars and a catalyst? I will read about product.

A water spray injection, not familiar 🤔

MB does remove carbon.

About 20 years ago, I had a head off of a Honda and sprayed MB the tops of the piston. The next morning all of the carbon lifted off and was soft.

The water technique as Ron had mentioned does work, but it breaks it off in chunks that are hard.
Top tier fuel stations do have more cleaners than discount stores.

Cleaning piston rings through the oil is a different thread.

I run Shell 93 Octane 90% of the time as Shell stations are all over Florida, and it's a really great cleaning fuel -
Originally I cleaned the valves and intake tract by spraying Startron Decarbonizer into the intake with the valves closed - cleaner will pool up and soak the valves and overnight it can be cleaned up with long forceps and pieces of cloth rag on the end, ( or huge Q Tips if you can find the ) to wipe off the valves and intake tracts.

Personally I don't like letting hard and soft carbon particles be sucked down into the cylinder to cause unneeded friction and wear, scratches etc. so I clean it up and remove as much of it as possible. It's amazing how much came out of mine -

Once the OEM oil separator is cleaned, sealed and repacked and / or an oil separator added there's very little future oil to foul the intake tracts and using really good fuel helps maintain the cleanliness as mentioned. Maybe a yearly light soak and quick cleaning is all that's required.
Always buy good fuel - there is no possible savings in running cheap gas in a Revolution engine. (y)
