, but I really want to understand this.
i see it on this forum and the HD forum as well. That trailering your HD is for posers, "the gold chain crowd", etc.
so, here's how I use mine. I live in central Ohio, flat as a pancake. All the good twisties and hills are in eastern Ohio near the WV border. that's a 2 hour ride, via expressway to get there.
so, last weekend, we put the V and my Custom into our trailer, drove the 2 hours in Cayenne comfort, to our "jumping off point", and parked in a library parking lot that was closed for the weekend. We then ride over 250 miles of some of the finest pavement ever created.
once we were done, we packed them back into the trailer and drove 2 hours back home.
advantages:
1. riding a bike on interstates for 2 hours each way is NOT FUN to me
2. allows me to be fresh for the 4 + hours I spent navigating some very trickey and potentially dangerous corners on rural roads.
3. eliminates having to ride 2 hours home being fatigued both mentally and physically from a day of hard riding.
so, let me have it......why is this a bad thing or a "sell out"?
