rocka your secret is out, you really do have the bike in your avatar, and the video to prove it!!!! so much for posing next to or on someones R.
That was not the Rocka. The Rocka is riding a Wal-Mart bike in the Avatar. The one on the video is a Busa 2008.

best ive done was wide open, above 135-144 for 8 mins straight. thats like 15 plus miles. no winsheild/bags...completely stock at the time. half helmet layin on the airbox cover

Nowhere around here...

Not many places around here to get up to speed without hitting a curve, intersection, pot hole or traffic. I've done 85 on a 3/4 mile straight away on a backroad in New Canaan, CT and I've done 105 on I 95 South between Westport and Norwalk with very light traffic for about 1/4 mile before throttling back down to 75 before the state police nailed me.
Other than that I'm not even thinking about going faster than that.

I wish that I was back in Calif. and had a go on one of the open roads in the San Jouaqin Valley or on 395 in the Owens Valley. I drove a porsche 911 back in the early 80's at 145-150 on 395 between Big Pine and Lone Pine in the shadow of Mount Whitney.

08 dx speedo realy slowed its climb around 138-140. never hit the limiter. I've taken a 05 b up to 142 and when it hit the limiter all the gauges (needles more like) started flashing red. I was wearing a half helmet and felt like my head was being pulled off. At about that time the 750 gsxr i was playing with FLEW by me and he looked so comfortable in his slipsteam.

I don't know how you guys with the half helmets do it! I wear a X11 Shoei and at speed it feels like the wind is pulling my helmet off my head!

Wfo

On the VROD I've been 130 on the open Hwy. 100 on the Dragon. (Yes, on the Dragon) Combat & I can do it on one section, but you have to straighten out a combo of three short curves, Coming back from the dam, and yes, you can see all the way thru, so it's kind of safe:angeldev:
