Hello fellow vrod riders.

I was just wondering if there is a show and shine or meeting site for the owners of vrods in the GTA that get together, meet for a coffee and admire the machines.

Does anyone know if there are any area or around the town rides set up?

Thanks

Haven't heard of one ... lets organize it

There are at least 7 that I can think of ... plus a bunch in the Niagara area that I'm sure would come

Sounds like a good idea

Lets set it up!!!

Maybe we should choose and agree on a central meeting area first. I was thinking of somewhere with a large parking lot that possibly has a Tim's. I am sure we can all agree that a bar is a bad idea as booze and any type of vehicle don't mix.

I have found one new location that I believe has a fairly large parking lot that is easily accessible from the 401 east and west, Hwy#7 and Hwy#427. The location is at the corner of Zenway Blvd and Hwy #27 in Woodbridge. It is not however listed on the Google map.

I know that we will not be able to please everyone in regards to finding a suitable location that works for all.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I myself live in Innisfil just south of Barrie. It will be about a 45min to an hours ride for me.

Hopefully we can organize something in the next little while

Cheers

We can't please everyone!

I would have to think that most of the guys and gals that will show up will be from an hour or so away, maybe less.

I guess we'll have to see who comes on board but I am sure it will grow in numbers in time.

It will probably be just a couple of us at first I am sure.

Does anyone favor any particular day? I myself feel that a Saturday or Sunday would probably work best for most.

Thanks to all who have shown interest!

Cheers

Mike

Heh. Thems fightin words.

I've taken my bike 3 hours for lesser reasons. The Windsor/Detroit crew are real riders. A little trip up the 401 won't be an issue I suspect

There are two GTA Tim Hortons that are kind of the unofficial bike friend locations with big enough lots to hold many many cars & bikes

- 403 (Winston Churchill) / Dundas
- Leslie and Lakeshore Blvd

The location at Weston Rd and 401 will also accommodate easily.

Weekend is going to be crappy weather most likely.

Woodbridge is shit. I can't stand gino's in civics and that ****in colassus saucer makes my blood boil. Plus the world cup starts soon, all the porkchops and macaroni's will be out in force with their flags.

I propose a meet somewhere nice where we can sit down on a patio, chill, eat some food, and drink a brew. I like Fergus/Elora, nice ride, closer for the west side ppl to reach, and close enough for the TO hobo's to ride to.

If not, we can have a meet at my house, I'm in Mississauga. Lots of parking in the front, I have a BBQ, we can eat some grub, drink some beers, and chill.

It does but I just installed my exhaust on my bike, and Im not getting it tuned til Monday, so I wont be riding her.

I will be at the Fathers Day Harley Drag Bash at Grand Bend, and I am def down for a diff weekend in the future.

If we're going to do a decent turnout, you have to set this up properly and that means that someone has to take charge

Here is what has to be done:

1. Someone volunteers to take charge

2. A date and time is picked (at least 2 weeks in advance because people who will be coming in from out of town need time to plan)

3. A location has to be picked (which means a decision has to be made as to what kind of get together you want - a casual coffee parking lot, beer and wings at a bike friendly bar/pub, etc ...). If it is a bar or somewhere that will allow seating, arrangements should be made to ensure we can be accommodated.

4. All details are posted in a NEW thread in this forum and the Rides & Rallies section of the forum (with a link to the threads in your forum signature to maximize exposure)

Done properly, you'll get a good turnout and a good time ... Done like the way it is going in this thread, you'll get 4 bikes (maybe)

So who is going to grab the bull by the horns and do this right?
