Either of those will work (the VRSC and other HD bikes have “male mount” foot pegs). The problem with those is that these move the pegs outboard, reducing the lean angle. The Switchblade versions are more compact if you can get used to the swing-out action.

I used the ISO Stirrups for custom HD pegs. They are awesome and relieves a lot of leg, thigh and groin muscle pain on long rides.

I have the pegs you're looking at on my '03 and like them, the only problem I see is if you lay your bike over on the left side the heal rest will bend your shifter rod. I guess if you lay your bike over that might be the least of your worries.

 

Does anybody know of the stirrup type footpeg for the forward mounts that come in all black. I have mid controls and am looking for a forward peg that I can rest my foot on and not have to hold it on at highway speeds but I need it in black. Thanks.

I use the ISO large pegs and heel rests. They work great! I drag the ground with them often, but they are very comfortable, even for long rides. And yes, the male pattern fits our bikes (does that mean our bikes are male or female? lol).
