Thanks for the interesting articles. I am lucky to have the 2006 VRSCSE2 Screamin’ Eagle CVO in fast orange (1250 engine, better bars than 2007 and 240 rear tire on 18” wheel). I bought it used in 2018 with a smaller rear/sissy bar, upgraded seat, centennial sport windshield you look over and not through and a Vance & Hines exhaust (with the original parts). I will never part with this bike until I retire from riding in total.

In fact, I like it so much, I have a 2007 Softail Custom with saddle bags for errands and such as the Screamin’ Eagle doesn’t carry much other than myself (’tank’ is fiberglass so my magnetic tank bag won’t work and wide tire & external shocks don’t easily allow saddle bags)…and I only wear a backpack when necessary.

Love both bikes…but the ‘07 FTXSC is replaceable but those ‘06 Screamin’ Eagles are hard to find in good shape.

Oh, and Arizona doesn’t have a helmet law so cruising around the desert can really be free and enjoyable.

Excellent articles - someone really put some work into this and for a newbie to the VRod it answers all my questions. It should be setup as a permanent post somewhere if it isn't already.
