I assume this would only work with forward controls, correct?

It is set up for use with forward controls, but the shift sensor part, the short round electronic section of the shift rod, could be used on any length shift rod as long as your overall length is correct for the application.

I have been curious how well this works. Did you have it on your bike? Does it only work with the PC3 usb or will it work with the PC3 r? Sorry for all the questions but I am very interested.

It works great, kills the injectors for the time you program it for which unloads the motor and allows for the shift. I had it programed for 70 milliseconds and it worked well for me. I ran it for half a season at the track and never missed a shift with it. It only works with the usb as far as I know, plugs right into the PCIIIusb. You just use the foot shifter without the clutch and it goes right into the next gear.

Instead of a "kill box" could this be used with the Pingell electric shifter? ..... from what I'm reading, my electric shifter would push the bike into the next gear and this quikshifter would sense the push and cut the injectors for a clutchless shift????

I think as long as you have the PC3 it would work.

The pingell's sell a kill box that shuts down the coil's.... this thing kills the fuel injectors... is one of these methods better than the other, or considered safer for the motor, or what???

fuel with no fire makes more noise when you add fire again.

It will work with the Pingel electric shifter if you have the PCIIIusb, it cuts the injectors so you don't get the backfire you sometimes get with the normal pingel and the kill box when it kills the coils and you get raw gas going through.
