What are the rates you guys are paying on the SE? Im looking at one, and wanted to know what others are paying.

Mine is close to $700/year with Erie, but I'm a new rider and this is the first bike that I have ever owned. Progressive was a bit cheaper, but it was easier for me just put it on my auto policy. I may shop around more in the spring...

I swear they must base it on the cc's I was in there complaining and said you know they 07 was only 9 grand and the 05 was 25 grand... she just shrugged and said I must be getting over on the 05

J-Rodvrscr, thank you. Still making some minor mods every now and then. About to drop in the 5 gallon Rick's tank and just ordered my Metz 260. Figure I got about a month here in Boise (December) where the weather is crappy enough I can't ride, so I 'll be doing these final "major mod's. Not much left to do but some aesthetic tweaks!

Sure love this bike. What a feeling to get on the road and just go!

I have the same coverage except for Prop. Damage: $50,000 and pay
$880/year w/State Farm. Clean driving record. Wow - time to change!

geico is the cheapest........i'm 19 and i've had my license suspended 3 times......idk why this R is so cheap, my suzuki was 1600$/yr for less coverage....and this would smoke it in 0-60....which is waht my tickets are all for (exhibition of power, street racing, and a burnout ticket they counted as vandalism, 20$/ft both tires, 173 feet long in my camaro....)

Remember, insurance is based on driving record and location. I looked at many providers and it came down to Progressive and Geico. Shop around, most of these companies have on-line quote setups you can fill out and get a pretty close estimate. The final amount is not far off.

Same here, with State Farm. $432/yr. I don't think I will change, they've been very good for me.

Same here with Geico but they gave me a multiple car and bike discount, the wierd thing was my Suzuki Burgman's insurance was more than my VRSCSE? The Executive Burgman 650cc was 10k and the Harley CVO 1250cc was 25K, I think they are clueless about replacement costs.

I tried an online quote with Progressive. I ran the quote as a clean driving record on my Street Rod, Night Rod and the new to me SE. They quoted me $4000 p/yr with low coverages. If I wanted good insurance it went up to $8000. What the He11 are they thinking? As far as I know none of them are going to orbit earth.

Progressive is insane in SC. Could be because of the no helmet law. Progressive was $1400 per year Geico is just over $200

Progressive sucked for me too...wanted $900 something with $500 deductables. I went with Foremost and am paying $300 with $250 deductables.

I am an old guy with a clean driving record living in a small midwest town. My insurance is about $200/yr. on an R.

Must be nice!
For my '03, first bike, I pay $1,850.00 for full coverage.
I would like some other Canadians to ring in here to see what they pay?
