Well I went out on several runs today after mating my new SPEST (newest SERT) to my bike. I logged several runs with my TwinScan/WEGO system and must say I like the new software, but in some areas it is a bit lacking.

The new layout screens are a dream. You can edit multiple tables at the same time, and also have the original, working and comparision tables all open if you have the desktop room. In advanced mode you can get to pretty much any novice tuner would want to get to.

Things I didn't like though are I can't find any global commands. For example I can't find a command to change the entire AFR table to 13.2 to begin tuning, I had to go thru it one by one. Also I cannot find a revert to base values option like in the old software, so when I go back to closed loop I will have to manually copy all my original closed loop AFRs into the new map. Not a biggie but certainly some hassle.

There is a cut and paste option, which I'm sure would work well with Excel and the twinscan AFR tables, but I didn't try it.

With my twinscan runs and the new tuner my bike is running pretty smooth. I still need to get some more racing type runs but can't since it's still cold and wet outside, but it's a good start. I haven't used the data logging function of the SPEST yet, but I plan on using it to iron out any knocks after my twinscan tuning is complete.
 
Thanks for some good info here, spinedoc, you have probably saved me lots of time looking for those same missing functions, if you can't find them, I probably won't either :)

Expect to be picking the bike up monday or tuesday, so I'm right behind you :)

Beelze I'm also confused why you can only adjust cells by .5, 2.5 or 5%, what a pain. It should have had at a minimum 1%, but even better just allow you to write in the new value. I guess you can always cut and paste from excel, but thats an extra step.

Also for the life of me I cannot find a "reset to base values" option, which would make changing the AFR table easier.
 
See your looking for some more RACING type runs. When the roads get cleared in a couple months we could use my bike as your test mule. Just to find out how much power that 260 is sucking up. Heard your girlfriend over at TIBBY's got canned. Bout time. Stay in touch Doc, its still sledding season and my sled has been cleaning house real well!!!!!

The new tuner would probably make adjustments TOO easy. The MOCO is looking for those service and parts bucks. All the manufacturers do it. They try to take things out of the mechanics hands to drive you to thier shop.

Been putting alot of miles on my sled, great winter so far. We'll be putting plenty of miles on for sure. Tina's dying to get out. Talk to ya soon brother!!
 
Got any maps your willing to share for the new tuner spinedoc?

I've got a decent fatshots map for a 1250 if anyone wants it. Mainly tuned at cruising speeds as the weather has just gotten better, so havent had a chance to stomp on it yet while tuning.

I'd take anything right now. The dyno I trust is booked up for two months in advance and the new super pro software won't read the old files so I can't even view values to transfer manually. I'd like a closer map than the airfilter map supplied to start my tune for the CFR. I've tried converting the MT6 files into various other formats with no success. A map for any pipe would make me happy at this point:lamer:
 
With the old racte tuner you could mark a whole table for editing by clicking on the top left corner of the table. Followed by several clicks on i.e. "increment 100" you will quickly have the whole table set to the same maximum numeric value and from there you can readjust it very quickly to the desired value.

Any mods can you fix the accepted uploadable files? I'm trying to upload my file, but it won't accept the extension since it's new. The new supertuner uses .DT0 for an extension.
