I was just wondering if anyone has mounted a ez pass on their vrod. I live on an island and i am tired of digging for change for the tolls.I have been considering using heavy duty velcro, but can't find a good spot, how about some idea's!!!

In Texas the toll roads don't seem to see the v-rod. I have a toll tag but never carry it and never get billed. Damn the luck. :)

Yarvis, what is with the money tied near your EZ pass?

Two one dollar bills on each handlebar for luck the first week I owned the bike. One from my buddy Dave, the other from my friend John. The dollars are crispy now, but I don't want to take them off until or if I have to.

Am I that predictable?

The one I use is very nice and you can get it for different size bars. They also have a few different styles. I have the flame one. Check out their website:

One day someone will ask about a chrome toilet paper holder, and I know you will be right there with an answer!! :notworth:

Whats a Toll road and EZ pass?
It's an East Coast thing, where they call things "Thru Ways" and charge you to use Highways. Mostly a Blue State thing, basically charging you to use public highways(?) to get from one area to another. The EZ PAss is a fast way of paying tolls, instead of stopping the magnetic strip on your pass charges you automatically like a charge card.

I can't believe no ones stolen them yet.
I hear you and have to agree with you. She has been to two different dealers and is parked in the street whenever I go out, go figure. (let's not jinx it though. lol)

I have two EZ passes and have never mounted either in the last eight years. The batteries died at five years almost to the day and I ordered new ones. The toll saw me when the batteries failed. I just stick them under the visor in the car and hold the pass a s I go through. I move them from the different vehicles. If I am on the Vrod without a jacket i put it in my right rear pocket and take it out as I go through. Hundreds of passes and I haven't dropped one yet.

I dont carry mine around. In MA if you put your license plate on your application and run thru with no ezpass, they just look your plate up and bill you, so you dont need an ezpass. Plus I think most of the time they cant even see my side mount plate anyhow. I just zoom thru!

It's the same way here, but if you go through without it and a cop see's you he can give you a ticket for not paying the toll. Then you have to go to court and fight it..... Just not worth the aggravation. Plus the one I use is kind of cool anyway.

We use the "external" EZ Pass. Its the black oblong thing. Its mounted right behind the screen at the base of the clamshell. You don't really notice it unless you look for it.

The around the neck/in the pocket idea never worked. As long as its on and the plate is registered, we haven't had issues. They just look it up if it didn't scan. No extra charges on the account.

I have one of those on my Audi, since the windshield doesnt allow transmission of the Ezpass signal. I didnt think they were available if your car was not on the "list". Hmm, I will have to ask, they are certainly smaller and more mountable.
