Didn't see a place to introduce myself so Ill just jump in here. I Ride a 2005 Road King. The wife has been wanting her own bike, so I've been trying to help her find something suitable. It will be her first bike. I think a VRod would be a good choice but I don't see a lot of ladies riding them. She is 5'7" 150 lbs and in good condition, other than some back problems which limit her riding to 200 0r 300 miles a day. Our local dealer has a 2004 VRSCB with 7,000 miles. She sat on it and it seems to fit her well. Other than the huge power what I'm finding is the VRod is very predictable and well mannered . Do you guys have any input that would help her with this decision?

Welcome, and congrats to your excellent choice of rides for your wife. You realize of course, that very shortly you will be searching for one yourself.
On Vancouver Island, I've seen quite a few female riders. They all seem to enjoy the balance, fit and power.

welcome to 1130cc. and orange is the best. its faster than black, grey, blue. any color. the orange looks fast when its stopped. I love my orange b. its very bright and noticeable and it helps with people seeing you. there is alot of things that are cheep to do to make it even better looking. when i first got my orange i wasn't so thrilled with the color. now i love it. there isn't that many out there on the road. tell her to enjoy it don't be afraid of it. its well mannered, but its easy to go quickly on http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w319/fxdave/th_100_0259.jpg

It's her bike. She can name it whatever she wants but "The Other Guy" sounds good..:laugh:

uuuhhmmm....a lady friend of mine calls her bike a $20K ViBR8R. so yes, sounds like a good name... :laugh:
