With saddlebags, tour windshield and a 270# rider, 130 mph is possible!

In a 20 mph turn at 55 mph, the footpegs scrape.

I have ridden the Tallimena Parkway several times on my Electra Glide and a buddie's Fatboy, but to do it on an R is no comparison.

Needless to say I left the group with a wink and a nod to hammer the twisties. I am sooooo glad I got this bike!

I still have yet to scrape anything on mine. I agree with you too, I am so happy I traded the ol sporty for the R!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so there was a third thing I learned and almost forgot to mention...

I gassed up to the top in Grand Prairie, TX. I went out I-30 to Hwy 259N. When I thought I was ready to get gas I couldn't find a station. Believe it or not, my trip odo displayed 175 miles!!! I was one nervous puppy. It took in 4.5 gallons. I'm guessing you lose 1/2 a gallon from the lean angle on the kick stand, so I think I was running on fumes and a prayer.

Ain't nuth'n wrong with that. Scraping pegs with a passenger though would scare the poop out of me. It will probably be sometime before I do any peg scraping.
