Hey guys, so I’ve noticed a weird kink on my rod when I’m trying to give it throttle and I’m already rolling at times it feels like that the bike jerks a little it won’t respond as if the throttle was choking the bike or if it wasn’t giving the bike enough gas to respond to the throttle I’m giving it, and I realized it does it when maybe I don’t catch the rpm right when I give it gas after letting the throttle loose and rolling a little or on a down shift, or when I try to rip it from a low mph.. Idk if it’s something wrong with it or if I’m just being a rookie and don’t understand my bike yet, and at times it feels like a little of both.. it’s turly hard to explain what I feel on the bike idk if I drew a good picture for you guys… thanks in Adanced

I would try cleaning the pintle for the Idle Air Controller (IAC). It is located between the two throttle bodies and is known to stick over time and acts like a choke on an old carbureted vehicle causing it to sputter between 3 and 4K RPM.

So I took it for a ride today and realized that it does sputter under 5k rpm once it hits 5 it’s like it opens up and runs just like it should but if you give it a good amount of throttle under 5 between 3-5 it gets jerkey

High map load or rpms above 5k the calibration goes to an open loop richer area. A lot richer. An area where lean might not show up in the normal running . 3-4k is generally a problem area as it's generally the leanest part of most calibrations for cruising. If this issue just recently showed up, do a fuel pressure test first. The whole tune goes for a dump if it's not in spec, so it's the first step in diagnosing this issue. Do you have any engine codes showing? Does your bike have O2 sensors?
