Opinions please, a year ago my radiator burst on a weld after sitting in traffic for awhile. I had it replaced with a new one. A couple of months ago i had my water pump replaced and this past weekend after sitting a some red lights, this radiator popped. The fans kicked in on both occasions and the antifreeze was full both times as well. What could be the cause of this? Seems like theres too much pressure maybe?

Cap should relieve pressure at 16 psi into the overflow bottle. Max pressure will be at fan operation temps and once the pressure is relieved any temp lower then that will be below cap relief pressure. Is you overflow tank hose clear to vent? It goes between the engine and fuel tank. Sometimes they can get crushed there or a mud dobber blocked the hole where the hose exits under the bike. Any cap relief pressure has nowhere to go in that case. Pull the hose off the tank and blow through it. Generally rad caps fail to hold pressure but I suppose it could stick and do the opposite. While not a bike, I've seen where the thermostat has stuck and the pressure in the system went bonkers. Rad hoses grew twice the size in diameter.

Hmmmm, to burst, that would have to be a lot of pressure. Usually that is compression in the cooling system. The radiator should be able to withstand cooling system pressures from over heating etc. Like said possibility of thermostat issue. You need a temp gage. Make sure radiator is mounted ok, secure from excessive vibrations.
