Hi guys,
I am sure that my battery is fully charge with 13,6V. Sometimes the bike starts great & out of the blue it wont start…
I only hear a Click sound and wont crank the starter motor, try several times and same results. This is intermittent…
A few hours later try again and it starts several times with no problem, and without warning it just wont start, this is annoying because one day it simply wont start on a any trip.
Any leads ? clean contacts, reset fuses & relays ?
Need you help on this one, thanks in advance…

Guys, thank you, much appreciated going to go through these points, intermittent & now temperamental, now is difficult to get it to start which may be a good sign to help solve….man, now that the weather is good, kkkkkkkk

Since this is intermittent and you do get clicking at the solenoid, I would say you have one or more poor connections causing excessive voltage drop. This could be on the positive or ground side.
Hi Chillidog,
Have a lot to check, mechanic is on vacation. Currently I can´t get it to start....need to take the slonenoid cover to check the contact points but it´s not easy to remove and don´t want to break it. This problem went worse since the bike came from a service, while at the service the tech had no issues with it.

Solenoid is sealed so you can't inspect the contacts. If it's clicking but won't start, you can jump the two big terminals. This will directly activate the starter. If that fails, could be the actual starter itself.

Short the two terminals that are connected to the two thick black cables that are bolted to the top
and bottom of the solenoid. Jump those connectors with two screw drivers and should start...noted,
that the top nut has some rust on, but I can´t get the plastic solenoid cover off , it should slide off..tomorrow
going to give it a try. Thanks Ron

You need to do an actual voltage test to see if everything is getting 12V +. Some parts don't require a full 12V to work but the starter does require 12V.test voltage into solenoid and out when start button is pressed, check post on starter to see if it is getting 12V. A good test light with voltage meter on it works wonders, there are many types/models out there that will give you what you need.
