Forgot to officially to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who chipped in to buy a new front tire for me- a little humbling, with things being so tight, in all reality- when it went flat it would have been very likely the end to my riding season this year, just wouldn't be able to justify money in the bike this year.
And from the looks of the tire after it was off that would have been very very soon!
It was an honor to contribute and rare chance to express my appreciate for all you do to make MWT an event that I look forward to every year. Thank-you Jeff!!

let me get in troube with wendy for doing 135mph on the turbo machine ,

He is still smiling everytime he talks about it...:D

Thanks Jeff and everyone else involved to make this happen.
I had a really good time meeting everyone and hope to make it next year.
I might actually have a VRod to ride by then LOL
Thanks again

Thanks Jeff, Deadeye and everyone else.

Nice to meet some like-minded (or should I say out-of-their-minded) people.

If HD owners are "a breed apart", V-Rod owners are an entire gene-pool breed apart from that.

Met a lot of special folks (as in "special olympics") - look forward to many more of these in the future.

Funny - I'm a "big fish in a small pond" down here - with my DX being the hottest V-Rod around - and feel like a minnow up there at MWT.

Thanks once again Jeff and everyone else for the hard work you put in year after year making this an amazing event. It truly is a weekend to look forward to every year! Hopefully we can keep it going so that Jeff can relax and attend as a guest for once and let others do the work. You rock Jeff :notworth:

Oh P.S. Maybe everyone that pitched in for Jeff's tire can pitch in a little extra and get deadeye a haircut :hidesbeh: :D

Jeff, I don't think you realize what an impact you have had on so many people, how many new friendships have resulted from this rally, the great fun and memories, and how this event causes so many of us to look forward to "next year"!!! Your willingness to open up your garage and your home to let Joe, Roger, and I work on my bike was deeply appreciated. I can't thank you enough, but thanks just the same!!

Wow, I thought I'd posted in this thread, but I guess I didn't.

Jeff, thank you for all your hard work on this. As a first-timer, I won't be a last-timer, that's for sure. Was really great to see everybody, some again, many for the first time.

Here's to hoping some of the instigators (us instigators?) can put together MWT7, even if it's not in Niles next year. It'll be hard to miss the Niles Inn, of course, but the midwest is pretty big. (And the only reason I raise that possibility was that I was hearing things about alternate locations.)

You're a heckuva good guy. Hang in there. And never forget you have lots of friends.

Midwest Thunder for me is the kick-off of summer. It's such a great blend of old and new friends pulled together by such great magnetism that it doesn't matter what amount of precipitation we get or what gets cancelled we STILL all have a wonderful time and immediately start looking forward to the next one...

I really lucked out when I fell into this Internet wormhole vrodforums.com 7 years ago, I've gotten such great help and made such great friends that seeing them, and riding with them, and sharing a drink and a smile with them, even if just once a year is PRICELESS!

We could have it in Detroit, but then EVERY body would loose their wallet, not just the Aussie! :hmm:

Big thanks to JSC. Glad we could make it out this year. It was a bit last minute for us, but I'm glad we made the trip and enjoyed the hell out of it.

I'm glad we could help you out with your new tire. It's a pleasure to payback a little of what we all owe you for bringing us all together all these years.

For those of you who dont' remember, this is how it all started....before Midwest Thunder was Midwest Thunder:

Thanks god someone changed it to the end of June instead of your early April rides!!!
Would it really make a difference to the great Canadian Trailer Queen? ;)

Wow- I can't find something that was posted last week in the search...
Besides Rj's hair- look at those stock exhausts
That was also my first set of tins painted, then the bike morphed again.
Rj- you don't happen to know where the animated version of that photo is that Max did? He put a little sound to it also...
