No V-Rod makes that much that is otherwise stock with just a stage 1 (pipe, air filter, remap). Either that dyno is WAY off generously, or the dyno operator is a liar. Shit, you can even look at any of the mags that dynoed the 1250 V-Rod, any year, and they made 110hp or less at the wheel. 127 at the crank maybe, but not at the wheel. Get it dynoed at 2 or 3 differet shops, and then see what you get.
That stage 1 combo may work great, but would never add more than 8 RWHP at the peak.
Midrange is another deal. I wrote and shot an article for Hot Bike Magazine a few years back (check my old posts for details) and my 04 B that already had the SE 16-gauge exhaust, K&N filter and a SE remap, then got a ThunderHeader exhaust, a SERT dyno tune, and went topless. I gained 13 RWHP and 13 lb/tq around 5000 rpm (same day dyno runs, same dyno), and that was OVER the already piped bike - with great gains at peak as well. So it's safe to assume that it likely made (in the midrange) 15+ hp and tq over a fully stock 1130cc bike.
After that experience, and the incredible change in the bike (amazing power and sound gains, ran perfectly idle to redline, and lost over 15 lbs) I would recommend to ANYONE the combo of a ThunderHeader exhaust, K&N filter with topless airbox, and SERT dyno tune. It produced an all-new bike.
