After seven years of legal hassel, Harley has won back the name Autoglide from Ridley. Now that Harley own's the name, what will they do with it?
An easy and excellent mod that works well is to install a centrifugal racing clutch that turns the bike into a semi auto. You still have to shift, but the clutch becomes redundant. The clutch pressure is reduced to near zero, and since most of us just shift without the clutch, no big deal. The benefits - no stalling, slipper clutch control, faster shifting, more speed, better fuel mileage. Downside, haven't found any yet. Installed in the Vrod, there is no clutch at all, just shift and go. Installed in the air units, one finger clutch or no clutch, no stall and go.
Look for Harley bagger autoglides in the near future.
