OK, one Shovelhead project bike sold and one more to go.

Here is my 1982 Sturgis Shovelhead I bought a couple of years ago as a project bike for American Iron Magazine but have decided not to do it. So I am now offering it for sale.

The bike is complete and running (but needs a new battery). Electric and kick starter.

It is not a correct show bike and has had some modifications made from stock (seat, handlebars, exhaust, carb etc) but would make a great rider as is or a terrific basis for a custom project.

I do have some spare parts (like original air cleaner, sissy bar, etc) that will go with the bike.

Asking $5,999. The motorcycle is in Connecticut. Need to make some room in my garage for the V-Rod project if I can ever get those trick brake rotors I was promised 2 years ago. :chair:

Nice bike Buzz. The "Sturgis" was the original DX. ;)

I just helped a customer completly redo one of these with new powder coating, polishing and chrome. He had bought it new, and recently bought it back.

NIce looking Sturgis.. Wasthe Sturgis a 4 or 5 speed ? I see your in Conneticut... How many miles on the bike, and does it use any oil ? Thanks, I may be interested. I have a 99 Electraglide- but kinda kicking around the idea of acquiring another Shovel.......

WOW!

If I hadn't just dumped 20,000 smackers into a new porch and kitchen, I would be on my my Buzz. Been wanting a Sturgis ever since I first saw one. Local dentist has a nicely restored one I drool over every time I see it. Good luck with the sale. Shouldn't be hard to sell.
