So today while I was coming back from a 2nd building at work, a lady pulled out in front of me. I dropped the bike on the right side. The exhaust pipe is nicely scratched up (will need replaced). The pedal assembly is about halfway torn off the frame weld. I THINK all it needs is welding. But truth is I have no idea. Can this be relatively easily accomplised by a "decent" welding shop? If so, would it be very expensive?

The lower frame section is easily replaced and only cost about $130, I wouldn't weld it since it is so cheap.

Sorry to hear about your mishap...

Although there is some debate about its looks, the engine guard would help to minimize the damage sustained in a tipover.

I for one love the looks...:D

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Glad to hear you are okay. You can't be replaced, but replacing the V is easy.

mine went on its right side 2 weeks ago, ive welded the peg back on with a good snap on mig.i would have replaced it if i had plenty of cash though, i bet i cant get a frame section for 130 dollars here. orlando hd wanted $324 plus $129 shipping , to uk!

Not good to hear about bike damage but at least you are okay . Bike can be fixed, but be careful out there as there are alot of people driving that are not watching where they drive .

Frook,

First and most of all, glad you are ok, it is too bad for the bike but they can be repaired.

When I read your post, I thought I was reading mine. I got cut off by a driver that wanted to make the turn faster then me going through. So I put it down.

My relocated turning signal broke off, my pipes were scratched and the forward control brake pedal and foot peg were just about torn off the modular tube frame section.

Modular tube frame section sells for about $240.00 I found mine at Seaford HD in Delaware, but when I told the dealer where it was they all of a sudden found it very quickly. Very easy to repair if you have all the tools.

I also replaced the pipes with www.cfrmotorcycles.com and I am very happy with them.

Good luck getting it back together, you will proudly ride again, now if we could only do spomething about all of these aholes out there, We'd all be ok.
