I was at the dealership looking at a DX when this gentleman came over and said how much he loved the look and that if it fit him, he would have one. After asking what he meant, he told me that sitting on it he felt scrunched up. He is 6 foot tall.

So, what do you taller riders do to feel comfortable on your VRSC models?

Get the "Reduced Reach Pegs" and flipping them around gives you an extra inch of leg room. I know that Rob and Max (and many others) have done this as well..

Drag bars can help extend reach...

I am 6 ft tall and feel just fine..I would think reduced reach pegs would make the guy feel even more squashd

What CUPCAKE said was to flip the reduced reach pegs which gives the rider a greater extension forward.

I am 6' 3" and do feel a bit cramped on my DX. I am going to try the reach pegs flipped over. May also try modifying the stock seat (trim a little out of the back ). Any other suggestions? Wonder what he other guys did to move the brake lever after they flipped the pegs and what kind of foot pegs are they running?

my experience with turning around the reduced reach pegs was that it put my foot at an almost impossible angle to the controls. In other words it put my foot further forward however the shift and brake pedal did not move so it was almost vertical over the peg and my foot wouldnt bend back that far.

I ended up getting the extended controls from vmod. These are not the pedals, this is simply a kit that allows you to use your own pedals but extend them further forward.

I had a few issues with them at first, the powder coat was not the best in the world, and the install takes some tinkering with to get it not to bind, but overal they work fine.

I put extended controls on from VMOD and like em. I'm "only" 6' tall and didnt really feel cramped but didnt like lifting my legs off the pegs and reaching back and use the shifter and brake. They are only extend out 2 inches but makes a difference. They went on easily but as mentioned, takes some personal touch to get them installed.

6'2" + and no problems at all. Custom extended my pegs by three inches. When I ride my legs are almost straight forward, most comfortable bike I ever owned. Not to mention with the CFR seat I feel like I was poured onto the bike instead of perched on top of it.

It is the deliberate "C" look. That, and the reduced ground clearance (from way too little anyway) is the price you pay for the DX's cool looks. It was a marginal decision for me, and when my DX failed to arrive I took an AW instead quite happily. Suggest he tries one of those.

I'm six foot (not THAT tall) with 35" legs (very long). For me the AW is very comfy, the DX, I was paying a price to look cool.

Im 6 foot and would hang my feet over the pegs, then I saw the Kuryakyn singwing pegs, around $150. They do allow you to strech your legs out three more inches when open and give you a floor board when closed. Mine will be PC this coming winter

That looks pretty good. You wouldn't happen to have a set or 2 for sale would ya :)
