Check out Vintage Parts.com they had like 27 VRSCR saddlebag mounting kits about 6 Months ago - that's where I got mine, they only sell to H-D dealers so you have to get your dealer to order it for you, I did, it's brand new, fits perfect. The kit needs a second quick disconnect to hold the factory bags on, I ordered and installed it to prevent the H-D bags from blowing off - also Viking bags makes a hard laminar shock cutout bag that will fit the factory saddlebag mount - I'm going to get them eventually, very nice. GOOD LUCK !

Thanks for the information!
Also - forgot to mention I got my new VRSCR saddlebags from E bay, couple hundred bucks delivered but you can also buy a worn, faded out set there for a lot less - (just keep trying they will pop up) as you will need the metal bracket off the back of them to attach to the back of the hard lockable Viking bags for a Q.D. if you choose to go that route. Also go to your dealer and have them do a H-D Dealer.net search of all the H-D dealers in the country for all your part #'s - lots of times they can give you the dealers contact info that might just have them on their shelf covered with dust - I found many of the H-D special parts and accessories for my R that way, many times the dealer you call doesn't even know what he has till he goes digging, and you may have to call a few dealers on the list before you succeed but it's worked for me. Good Luck !!

So far my dealer could only find the bags and the backrest chrome piece. They said they'll need some time to dig a bit deeper. Keeping my eye on eBay as well. But if anyone sees anything let me know!
So did the dealer contact Vintage parts and get you the VRSCR saddlebag mounting kit ? Hang in there and keep searching - it will all come to you just takes persistence and time -

Hi streetrodracer. Yes, my dealer was able to connect with vintage parts. Thanks for the tip. They are wanting $399.00 Canadian for them. :( I wasn't expecting them to cost so much.
I don't recall what I paid for the bags and the required mounting brackets, but I do remember that they weren't exactly cheap,as if any thing Harley is ever inexpensive.

I do remember that they were a lot less than Corbin's bags.
Hey GrooVROD yea I paid about $ 300 US for the S/B kit about a year ago well worth it though as everything fits perfect, and designed to leave the two attach brackets up behind the fenders so when you want to attach the bags it's only 4 allen head bolts to attach the one piece Q/D bracket and the bags hang at the top and snap in on the bottom, pretty slick but don't forget to use a second Q/D or easier yet a ty-wrap or clamp at the front to avoid bag blow-off at speed. I paid $ 800 for a backrest and luggage rack for my Triumph 3 Cylinder almost 18 years ago so that makes H-D parts look cheap. It's worth it - ask your dealer for a discount, I got mine on customer appreciation day saving 15 % - Good Luck ! R's rule !
I have 90973-04 for the narrow tire V Rods. I am not sure what rear end the street rod has, I thought they were all narrow until 2007 though.
Street Rods came with the 180 wheel & tire. However their frame is different and some items,(saddlebag mounts, seats, baseplates, rear fenders, sissy bars and such) will not interchange with earlier models.
Don't ask how I know. :banghead:
