I have been looking for a simple, low profile highway peg and came across these:

The description says it fits 1 1/4" engine guards, but will not fit the V-rod ?? Could I "make" them fit ?

Dunno...they look like generic fit to me. Find someone with engine guards and ask them nicely to measure the bars to see what the diameter is. Or buy em, try em out and take em back if they don't fit.

Good idea, if they didn't fit, I could always give them to my dad to use on his Dyna.

I believe they say not for the V-Rod because the V-Rods engine guard bars do not have a suitable straight edge on them. Look at them and you will see the outer rim is curved in all the wrong places.

The V-Rods engine guards are 1 1/4" tubular steel so you might be able to get them to fit with a little BFFI.

Got to agree with the party line here...those look average enough to fit on any engine guard. If they're too loose, then you can put some rubber gromets underneath the clasps to fill the space between them and the engine guard.
