I was at my dealer today and they had an all black '04 demo with a wire wheel on the front. Have to go back tomorrow to get details on it and give it a ride...

Sorry these took so long...the bike was getting a cosmetic upgrade on Saturday. They put on a custom paint set. I didn't get any details on the wheel, the guy who set up the bike was off that day. I hope to talk to him this week.

I still couldn't find the guy that put the bike together but I'm not givin' up! (Now I'm on a mission!).

Here's what I could get out of a random parts guy: It's an 80 spoke, 19 x 3; (I couldn't verify width but it did have the stock Dunlop on it). They can get a matching rear and they want $999 for each, (a little pricey for the front, IMHO). He was a little tight lipped about who they got it from, but did say it was put together locally. That's about all this guy knew and I had to get back to work.

I'll have to do some more digging over the next week or two; New Years' weekend there is a custom car and bike show here and I hear a lot of the custom builders in town will be there. If not, some of them hang out at a local refreshment provider (Billet Bar in Scottsdale) so I should be able to find out something.

I've been to the original Chosa's in Tempe. The Mesa version is really a sweet shop. The ceiling reminded me of being out in the open on the road. I'll have to stop by later next year on my way home.
BTW, I love the spoke wheel look.
I used to walk around and drool, (even though it was AMF stuff) at the original, original Chosa's in Pewaukee, WI way back in high school. They had their first shop about 15 - 20 miles straight west of the Capitol Drive Plant in Milwaukee. They moved out to Tempe about 20 years ago and now they have a second shop out in Apache Junction, AZ.
