Like reichard, I'm thinking about replacing wheels when my V-Rod gets in. Does anyone have any experience with the Sturgis wheel, polished aluminum finish with the chrome nut/bold holding the two piece wheel together? I really like this wheel. Since the Rod has dual discs up front which doesn't leave you a show side for the wheel I was looking for a wheel where most of the focus would be around the rim and this wheel seems to fit the bill. I was worried though about the aluminum pitting and whether a two piece wheel will hold up as well as a one piece. Any info will be greatly appreciated :biker:

The polished alum will still be harder to take care of than chrome but should hold up better than the stock rims (unpolished) ...... 2 piece should be fine if the manuf does quality work.
That's what I was afraid of. I've worked with aluminum before and it does get a film on it that never really looks "clear" even after you clean it. I was also afraid because aluminum is a fairly soft metal. The wheels looked so nice on a V-Rod (which I found out were not from Sturgis Wheels but probably from Ricks-Motorcycle) but I don't want to spend all of my time cleaning and polishing wheels that will eventually give way to a dulled finish.
