I have the double barrel slip ons, they came with the bike, they definitely sound throaty but I like the looks of the 2 -1.thanks for the input. this is my first harley so i did not know which direction to go. i defintly need pipes on this bike though. my bike sounds like a prius. ha ha. its just sad. i have the vance and hines fuel pak already. picked it up from a friend cheap. i was thinking about running the vance and hines competition exhaust. does anyone know of some one running this exhaust, and how did they like it.
If you're worried about gas mileage, you better leave the bike stock. Any cams, pipe and tuner you add is going to decrease your mileage anyway because you'll be riding more aggressively enjoying it.What cams, what do they cost, what do they do to the gas mileage .. and how do they sound?
Hey, LL Cool, I'm not worried just curious. On my twin cam just about everything you do 'costs' about 5 mpg.If you're worried about gas mileage, you better leave the bike stock. Or an XR1200 ~ the only reason for considering gas mileage is if you intend to use the bike for any type of cruising. There are plenty of places, still, that you've got to be able to make it at least 150 miles from gas station to gas station.gas milage? if i was worried about that i would have bought a honda. ha ha ha. i think i will order the v&h competition pipe. thanks guys
