I know a guy who rides a m109 but i have never ridden with him, whenever we talk bikes he tells me my rod will out run his m109.....maybe he is trying to con me into racing him.

The V-rod is a fast bike. If you don't think it is fast enough for you supercharge, turbo, big bore or spary it. It will get faster! I ride the bikes that I ride because the bikes spoke to me. I've got a garage full of bikes that in their day were well respected. There is something to be said about riding a slower bike fast. It real fun when you can chase down higher performance bike on their territory

Well,i have ridden with a couple of M109 riders and dusted them all! There is an M109 forum boasting the superiority over the Vrod so,a couple of Vindicta guys challenged them, needless to say to challenge is still on the table!

I met a guy few months back while sport a HD shirt,he start in on me ,saying he would whip me an my Harley anywhere and anytime! When he notice that i did not shutter,he quickly figured it out and said" You must ride a VROD!!!!" Later that day i took him to watch me pop my tire in a burnout contest! After that day the Legend OF BLKBAL and the BOYS on the VRODS was born!LOL

I think today I will get on the M109riders forum and issue a challenge anyone in?

Vindicta is in! I would like to get the M109 riders to commit to a 1000 mile in 24 hours Iron Butt Run,this bike and rider will be tested on all aspects of comparison.

What is faster the M109r or V-Rod?I have read a lot of articles on both and was trying really hard to find the answer with backed up proof. Now I don't want to see well the Harley is, does anyone have and articles that state the winner. I have seen a popular mechanics where the M109r was faster than a Night Rod Special but it said it also had an 1130cc motor. I thought the Night Rod Special always had a 1250cc... So is it faster than the 1250cc motors?
the better rider - period!

it would be imposible to keep the front end down i like the peg location . nice photoshop btw
With that long wheel base and rake it's probably damn good outta the hole, I'd be more concerned at top end speeds. A lot of choppers are great at holes shots because the of the rake and weight is so spread out....but that's about it, everything else - not so good.

A friend of mine is running a 109. I have to agree that it all comes down to the rider. Time to Time these bikes are extremely close. When you compare Spec to Spec, not close at all. Its tough to compare a 1786cc bike to a 1250 or 1130. Not even the same class. But when properly tuned, the 109 is a beast. Even if it is ugly as shite. Watch out for broken drive shafts though. The 109 can't handle getting torque slammed and then having wheelies throw in the mix. Looks like balsa wood after a tank hit it.

hey bro you don't talk about yourself in the third person do ya?
"blkbal will take on anyone anywhere cause blkbal is better than you ":angeldev:

If I had an M109 I would hope it was extremely fast, so fast that it was just a blur and there was no way to actually see it, or me on it. I'd hope it would never need to stop for gas too.

My last bike was a M109 (that I bought new & put 14K on it). When I ride with some of my buddies with M109, they all can't believe how fast the muscle pulls away from them on the straight away, and I say bye-bye when the twisties come up. It's still about the driver.

No Not Better! Just Not Affraid!!! You Either Win Or Loose, but Lately I Have Been On The Winning Side Of Things!

A friend of mine made a comment about a Victory once, and I think it applies to the M109 too.

"Riding a Victory/M109 is like getting sucked off by a poofter/***/gay, sure it it might feel good at the time,,,,,,,, until someone sees you!" LOL

For those of us in North America, What's a Poofer? I assume a fat chic?

Neither of these bikes is a sub 10 second bike stock... You can count on one hand the number of sub 10 second street bikes ever produced and none of them has been a Harley and Suzuki has only made one and it is not the M109 it is the Hayabusa.... Even the Hayabusa needs one hell of a rider to get into the 9's and be running at sea level at least stock as stated earlier both bikes are mid 11 bikes assuming rider capability.

What both BLKBAL, I and several others have found out at least around here is that if the M109 get the jump off the line you have a hell of a time reeling him.. they come out of the hole hard... If you launch on him he will stay right beside you until you hit 3rd then it looks like they throw an anchor out until his higher top speed gearing starts to help him which is around 130ish... They do have a significantly higher top speed because of there gearing. I have yet to lose to a M109 IF I get to run it out.... I have been spanked by them because I snoozed at the line and we shut down before I have the chance to real him in...

99% of the previous post is my personal experience and not guaranteed to be accurate or correct for anyone Else's riding experience..... My experience mainly comes from having a coworker who owns and rides his 109 almost as much as I ride my V Rod (I have 6000miles in 4 months of ownership and 3 months of riding)... with the "closed" course we have between the Whataburger and our office we get the opportunity to test my theory on a regular basis...

:soapbox:
PS: Remember all racing should be done on a closed course...
