My bike(04 vrsca ) wase sold to the first owner whith an open pipe (http://www.jekillandhyde.nl/gb/vrod.php) ,an SE-air cleaner and a 16GA cart (32065-02a)
According to the shophistory the dealer did an '1009'error at 1300km(bt800mi)and changed the 'module'.
I found p/n 32534-04 on the ecm-module and can not figure out what happened at the dealer. Is this the stock ECM back? and (for what i read of it)is it 'modified' or 'flashed' and if so ,can i somhow retrive the flashtype?
Bike is running 'almost' perfect,but i want to do the topless or semi-topless mod whitout risk of running lean...

In the On hand parts list from Zanotty i found the part number ,
32534-05B BASE ECM MODULE =PO
i had seen it there after my first post as -04 make ,so i think it gets a new jearproduction number every new model.

Also found in a instructionmanual from vance and hines that the flashtype of the ECM is retriveble,so lets get that done.

Is this "flash' done on the big plug of the unit itself ? Or do they use the digital plug ,i saw this one near the other connectors and ECM

I'm sure that someone here is familiar with flashing the ECM and will answer your question. But that reminds me of the Italian guy that was getting his exhaust done. The Jeckyll and Hyde guy told me that it has to go to the dealer for the ECM flash. I sure hope that he did not ride all the way to Italy with it wide open.

There is a small plug with four wires and a plug in it to seal moisture under the left hand front triangle louvered cover. They use either an RT or scanaliyzer to flash it using that plug.

I'm not sure I understand all the other information you have posted, you can read which flash the bike has using a scan tool or rt but you cannot copy the flash if thats what your asking.
