I was planning on doing some mods to my bike this winter while it is sitting in the garage, but the dealer told me to not touch it until it hits the 1000 tune up to avoid warranty problems. Unfortunately I am not there yet  pathetic I know. Anyone else been told the same? I was planning on a different exhaust, HD Race Tuner, and perhaps the Ricks rear and front wheel setup. Is this something to worry about or should I just do it and enjoy myself?

Thanks Kaz, that was the first thing I wanted to do. Maybe the wife and I will go to Hawaii next year!:D She had no idea what was in store for her when I told her I was buying a Harley.:diablo:

Dan I have found that each dealer has his own rules on warranty. I want to do the race tuner but my dealer that I might add couldn't fix a bread sandwich told me that a race tuner would void my warranty but if I bought a pcIII that was alright. Always check with your local dealer and if warranty is a concern it is less trouble to do what they ask but should you have a real issue with mods it comes down to them proving that the mods caused the problems and that is tough to do.

Thanks Max, I have NO confidence in my dealer, they are tops in the incompetent department. Does HD even check these people out? Maybe I need to check out another dealer to see what they think. Pathetic. Good luck with the bread sandwich, they can be tricky!:D
