What is the best method for getting that 13mm hex nut off the pin that holds the auxillary volume or "3rd volume" as I have heard it referred to as.

I have a 13 mm ratcheting box end wrench that barely squeezes in there, but I am still pushing against the rear brake line and bumping the exhaust. If I try to shield with towels, they take up what little room I have.

Any suggestions or tips appreciated.

Thanks

shove a small philips screwdriver thru the hole in the pin to hold it from turning then get a long extension on a ratchet with a half inch socket .the long extension will allow you to gain access from behind the muffler to the nut to undo it.
