First, run the IM diagnostics as explained in this post (clear codes after reading and noting what you see).So I was riding for 30 minutes when all of the sudden it died. It will start and run great until I give it throttle and then it dies. Does anyone have any ideas?
So you'll need to check the items mentioned at the end of Post #2. Some of those won't throw a code.Ok I ran through it and No codes were found
They have a habit of doing that.Ok so apparently the ground on the left side of the motor was barely hanging on and broke off but replaced the terminal and runs great again. Thanks for your help

That's funny but so true.90% of fuel problems are electrical.
One on each tappet cover area and one on the oil pan rear left bolt to frame.I feel like a 14 year-old poking around in the dark. Can someone share some pics of the ground strap locations with me? I can't find 'em!
Here's a couple of pictures scanned from a service manual that shows the critical ground wires. This first one shows the engine ground to the frame located on the lower rear cross member. This frame ground connects to one of the oil pan fasteners.I feel like a 14 year-old poking around in the dark. Can someone share some pics of the ground strap locations with me? I can't find 'em!
