I'm looking at an 06 Night Rod and would like to know at what miles these motors are in need of any real attention, ie: rebuild, rings, etc.
TIA

I have 40,000 and not even a valve adjustment. I know there are people with a lot more than that with no problems it's a great engine! If I we're you I'd buy it those models are are hard to come by if it has mid-controls!

The jury is still out on how many miles can be put on before a rebuild is required... With proper PM's, this bike should get well over 200k on it and that's being conservative... Hell, I know airheads that have 200k on the motor and it's still running like a swiss clock...

WOW! I guess it's safe to say that my TC88 will wear out first?? This bike I'm looking at has 25k on it and I can get it fairly cheap. Just waiting for a couple of side shots from the guy.
Thx

shuedude has about 180k miles on his daily commuter '03 without any major hassles.
