4 sale: VROD Big Bore Kit, NEW

Screamin' Eagle®Street Legal Big Bore Stage Kit for VRSC™Models

This kit takes all of the proven components from the CVO VRSCSE model and puts them in a single package to add a 10% power increase to the stock V-Rod®model. Installation boosts the displacement of the Revolution®engine from 1130cc to 1250cc. Complete kit includes cylinder heads, revised intake cams, big bore pistons and cylinder liners, and all required gaskets and hardware. Dealer installation is required (labor costs not included). Installation will require precision machining of the Original Equipment crankcase by the approved Harley-Davidson®supplier Street legal in all 50 states when used with the stock mufflers. ECM recalibration with the stock VRSCSE calibration is required.

This kit is brand new, silver. I purchased this kit from Hales and will sell it for what I paid for it, $800.00 plus shipping. PM me if you have any interest. Offers will be entertained as well.

"will require precision machining of the Original Equipment crankcase " This was offered at no additional cost by Hales on the kits. They included shipping boxs/ tags etc. in kits. The deal was good for one year from purchase. When was this one purchased and does it include their offer for case boring free, less shipping cost.

Just a heads up many of the dealers such as the eagle now sell this kit for $750. Not trying to hurt your sale but I know of at least three dealers below $800.

I was told by Hales there was no time limit on getting the machine work done.

You are correct. This kit was purchased close to two months ago. Thanks for the input.

What's the typical labor cost to install at the dealers? I'm assuming all the parts are in this kit and nothing more is required besides the labor?

Dealer dependent. The average seems to be between $1500-1800.

Eagle will do it for that, AND install a stroked 1/4 crank, for another $900, putting you danger close to 140HP

I plan to go that route... someday.

How hard is it? I would like to buy this and do it myself, except for the machining. I does not look that hard. How long did it take you to get the motor out? Would it really be woth the extra money for the additional 100CC for the stroker crank? How many HP for a 1250 with the K&N and the scereaming eagle pipes and a good tuning with a PC3 or some such fuel mgmt device?

Hales told me it would be about $1250.00 to have it installed. They run a special on service during the winter months.
