I am considering installing V&H LCD instrument Display (as i find the Factory Speedo very hard to read).

If anybody has any experience with this product I would appreciate some feedback on pros and cons.

I assume if it fits a VRSDX it will fit an F - any thoughts would be appreciated.

Patm is running this on at least one of his bikes.

You will have to change the handlebars and risers in order to run that to the D/DX/B riser and bars of your choice.

I'd be keen to see how it goes as I can't read my speedo at all sometimes.
How long have Harley been making bikes not to know how to produce legible instruments?

where is a link to this? i never understood why harley didn't put on an instrument cluster like sport bikes have. oh thats right new technology, can't have that on a harley
sport bikes didnt have LCD display until the virago in like 1986. Its only been 25 years, give harley a little time to get up to speed, lol.

Alot of sport bikes have 2 things i love (beside more power, better handling, lower price,,,) they have a digital gear gauge (nice for medium speed cruising when you forget what gear your in) and a speedo thats huge and easy to read, right in the middle of the cluster. The RPM gauge is about useless on every bike i have ever owned. On sport biks i use to drag race and roadrace and you shift when the power starts to fall off and i never hit the rev limiter. Shifting is all about feel for me so the RPM gauge should be really small. Just my opinion there, i mean who looks at there RPM gauge until it hits a certain rpm and then shifts??? I keep my eyes on the road

I really want to see that mounted on an F, love the layout.

EDIT: Also no fuel readout?

V&H doesn't make this dash, they just sell them for these folks. http://www.translogicuk.com/harley-parts.htm I have one on my "R" and they plug right in to the H-D wiring but if you don't own an X you will have to fab your own mount. Ed... (Note) click on the photo of the dash, and it will take you to more info. click again on the photo, and you will get to a pic of it mounted on a DX and more info.

COULD SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF SLUTS AND STRIP CLUBS!!! TELL ME WHAT SITE/SUPPLIER I CAN GET ONE OF THESE FROM!!

calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean.... woooosaaaa...

the V&H site - http://www.vhmotorsports.com/product_zoom/vrod-lcddisplay/lcd-display.html - will not let me through to the purchase page..

I have a tranlogic unit .uninstalled unused for sale .the tranlogic one is not plug and play .but is easier enough if you change over plugs and are electrically mineded or have a shop that is .pm me if your really wanting to buy one and we can work something out

P.s the vh units .if you can get one are over a thousand dollars, I believe.that was a mates rates price I got offered ,quite a while back.the trans one's look better cos they don't have the big gaps on the side.just a flat unit

Saleen09... if you can get an answer from them and find out if they have any in stock let me know, ive emailed them a couple of times and ive gotten no answer, maybe they didnt understand my aussie accent.....ma8. The V&H ones are plug and play for the DX but im not sure about the muscle. (cant see it being different but you never know).
TurboVet.. with checkout link dosnt work from down here in upside down land.
KnutJ.. we having that beer or what!!???
dwbs.... pm me with a pic so i can see what model it is and we'll go from there m8

For the rest TransLogic MD1 is the original and most used/popular model, has some years on it but they are still used today if you can get one.. get it! and if you have one keep it! or sell the fuka to me!

TranslogicMD2 (V&H Model)= specifically is the model im looking for, it has a plug and play set up and bracketing is for the DX

TranslogicMD3.... looks like shit.... period.

There are slight variations of models depending on who is distributing it, branding it, and what year you bought it, if your reply is useful and gains insight to the subject please help, if not... eat a fat one.

Don't have much else to add here and I've gotten in better shape over the last 2 years so the idea of eating a fat... Hey wait a minute!
