With an older bike (no O2 sensors), is it possible to use wide-band O2 sensors for the v-tune program?

I am pretty sure you can't as the ECM is different and you cannot load a MT7 file on the older ECM if you look in the mastertune section you will see a reply from Steve Cole on a similar subject.

Maybe someone else will second this.

i read some where that all i have to do is get the stock o2 sensors and install an updated map into the ecm.
i also read that they have instructions for doing this in their help files.
can anyone with this unit confirm this?

everything I have read suggest the ECMs (hardware) are the same through the years. The program(s) would be the only difference. I know this to be true of '06 through '11, but have not had the opportunity to test pre '06 ECMs

ECM Part numbers

Checked my library and MJW posted the below a while back..

There are multiple versions of the ECM.

32852-08
32852-07
32534-05
32534-05B
32534-05C
32498-05
32498-05A
32784-01

It looks like 4 different hardware and 8 different firmware versions. These are listed newest to oldest. The -01 is for the pre-'05 bikes and is no longer available for purchase.

So wouldn't that mean or suggest that all the newer ECMs would be backwards compatible and just need a firmware/reprogramming to work?

thats what i was led to understand, that with my 2007, i would use the narrow band o2 sensors with the ECM i already have

In digging through the ECM from my '07, I know it to be capable of handling and utilizing the input from wide band O2 sensors IF it had the correct programming.

from what i understand, it can already handle the NARROW o2 sensors, the wide band sensors wont work

are their any beta testers that can confirm this?
in the manual it states that BIG TWINS can be retrofitted,
so I am assuming that the Revolution's ECM is excluded
TTS has no support on there site so my only hope is in forums
that really sucks on their part
