Sorry to pose yet another exhaust question, but I was looking at the Vance and Hines Powershots and had a few questions that I'm sure some of you guys can answer :notworth:

How similar are the V&H to the SE double barrels? Could I use the same factory download if I upgraded to the SE air filter, or does going with a different exhaust pretty much mean I would have to go with the PCIII or Race Tuner?

Also, how is the 28 tooth pulley download related? Ie, would a factory download force the 28 tooth pulley change (to keep the speedometer correct), or is that download seperate?

I know that V&H make both the powershots and the SE double barrels, that's why I was hoping that the same ECM file would work on both of them. But I'm unsure how big the differences really are. Is the download more dependent on the air filter or the pipes, or both?

It's dependant on both but my guess is it should work pretty well.

Jav i am not sure if anyone here is running the set up you are describing. the ECM should work for both pipes, chopper steve could tell you for sure.
if you change the filter and 28th pulley you would need to reflash.
you would need to reflash for the filter or it will run lean, then when you add the pulley you would have to reflash again..the PCIII will let you change everything you ever need to change other than the pulley, that would have to be a download
or do you already have the pulley flash?
if you intend to change out pipes a few times, change back in forth between pulleys or run topless etc, i would recommend getting a PCIII and save money in the long run over the flashes
