Hello All V-Rodders,

Can anyone give me the 411 on the upgraded shifter Forks/Drum, and anything else for that matter, on the 2003 V-Rod? I need Part Numbers and what exactly to replace while inside if I get brave enough and have the case split. My shifting isn't as 'sooth-as-butter' any longer after 65K miles, (especially 1st to 2nd gear). Anyone, mechanically inclined who has done this before, in the Central Florida area willing to show me how this is done? No garage where I am at...willing to supply endless supply of refreshments during or after working hours.

I just checked Chicago Harley and that is still the part number. Retail is $222.00 and discounted price is $177.60. You may not need all the parts included in the kit but I don't know if/what the cheaper fix might be.
