UE 5.25 Gal Tank, Unused

SOLD -- Thanks.

I'm going to sell my '02 in the spring, and so have no need for the UE 5 gal tank I bought early this year. Sadly, I am so busy I don't ride very much anymore.

The shipping box has never been unpacked, so you'll get it exactly as it was sent to me.

This is what Unlimited Engineering calls the Rev A version (that is, the original version that came out).

Current sale price is $399 on UE's site. For sale at $300, you pay for shipping.

Also $399 on V Mod's site http://www.v-mod.com/shop/viewProductDetails.asp?PID=3449

Here's a recent thread on the forum on the UE and the Rick's tank. People seem to be fine with either.

And another one: http://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66413&highlight=tank

You can also search on "tank" and will come up with useful threads.

(Yeah, the title says box unopened -- but I had to open it to take the pic....)

The REV A is a 1/2 inch taller then a stock tank. I have a CFR seat and even after cutting the gas cap the seat would not close with a rev A tank. Most reported having to cut or mold the seats to get them to close. The rev b is still taller then a stock tank by a 1/4 inch. You will also need to contact the manufacture to get the side plate that guards against the belt cutting through this tank that was developed after several were cut by the belts because they protruded into the belt area too far.

UE Tank

I have the UE tank and love it. A little work but as explained in the supplied instructions. This is a mod well worth the $

Thanks, Clive -- got a new job and relocated west of Philly last year, and I think I've been on the rod three times since then. Sucks, but long hours at work and getting a new house in shape means the ride gathers dust. So, I'll wait until spring and put her up for sale. At least in that case I'll get a few more rides in...
