I am here to warn people about Tyson and his powder coating service. About 6 months ago I sent Tyson my swingarm off my new $25,000 bike to have it powder coated. I got it back with it coated with the bushings in place. There are blisters in the coating around the face area of the pivot shaft and scratches on the face surface of the swingarm. I sent him a responce and pictures immediately and asked what had happened. I was informed by tyson that there was no quick, easy fix. The swingarm is made of a soft material and can't be stripped, or baked off. I was told he would find me another swingarm to replace mine. I have waited, and waited, and touched base with him on several occasions to make sure I wasn't forgotten. A new swingarm for my bike from HD is $700, plus cost of powder coating. I found one and am having it powder coated locally and sent him a PM of the cost. Which was $500 for the swingarm and having it powder coated. I am now informed by him that he could have gotten it cheaper and after screwing up my swingarm and me having to wait months for him to correct his mistake. He is offering to refund my original powder coat money he charged me. WTF? Is anyone else having issues with Tyson? Board members beware of his workmanship, and customer service. I will be postings pics of his work as soon as I get on my computer. Thanks Jim
