I trimmed my DA so I could get rid of those red reflectors until I get my side mount bracket thats being machined for me. After I trimmed the plastic, I really wasnt happy with the way the sharp edges looked. I had some black door edge molding laying around the garage and I think that made it look much better. Whatta ya think? I had already trimmed the one side and put the molding on it, so I took a pic of the opposite side before I added the edge molding.

trim

I just used a coping saw (saw used to trim/miter molding, I did carpentry work for yrs). Then trimmed the edge molding with a razor knife. Used a heat gun to get the molding to conform the curves and that was it.

hlfntz has a template also for making a alum tag holder that uses part of the dogass, very nice and it's cheap, 10 bucks for me to have the stock cut and bent and my time for drilling the holes and cutting the da.
