I have already seen those, including all you wrote. Any pictures I have seen look like what I have only they are stainless. Is there one particular part or parts that I need. Sorry to be a pita

1) remove the tin (metal) airbox cover (painted metal thing where the fuel tank would be)

you will need to lift the seat to accomplish this

2) you will now see the actual ABS plastic airbox

3) locate the metal clips attaching the airbox lid to the lower airbox
4) open the metal clips and remove the plastic airbox lid
5) now completely remove the metal clips, place in ziploc baggie or similar, then place inside snorkel of airbox lid

6) your air filter is now exposed and you are "topless"

Would this set up with a high flow filter be ok to run in the rain ? Meaning is it as water proof as the factory set up?

And for the IAT , I drilled a hole for it to slide into the top of the filter housing and some black duck tape....

Hi Everyone..

I have a question about going topless.

In this picture at the filter's top protection, there is something covering the "hole" of the top plastic thing(i don't know its name) and I think that mine doesn't have that.

Do I have to buy it? Or do I have to make it? Thanks a lot!

As soon as I take it I will post here.

Thanks Flexin!

the item you have circled is just the fastener. It is possible that the former owner lost the original plastic nut. You can replace this with a wing nut or whatever you choose.

Please post a picture of what your filter area looks like.
