I had to fix my gas guage,as so many others have had to do. But the tool for the lock ring was out rageous.I seen some people use a coffee can. Looked to much to mess with. But I did find something better.Channel lock brand "440 big azz plyers "in the full open postion worked great..All I needed to do was take off my pillion for clearence of the handel,Set them straight down applied down and sideways force,the ring came off. Plus the up side is you will have the plyers to use for other projects.
