but I iz gonna axe anywho...
Has a forum member ever actually purchased information from the sites offering the $$information of the actual dealer cost vs. invoice on vrods?
Reason being;
I'm at one of the regional dealers, looking at a R gathering South Texas dust and the boutique sales information specialist states "... the vrod models are the rage. We can't keep them in stock. They sell like hotcakes."
As he walks away, putting one pointy toed boot exactly in front of the other I started wondering how much this here R actually cost the dealer and while I'm at it, what time of the year is the best time to buy?:moped:
By the bye, hotcakes are pancakes, right?!

In Austin there is a dealer selling brand new R's for just over 10k new. Ask Bad V-R what kind of deal he made.

Battlefield Harley in Gettysburg had brand new '06 R's for $9,999.00 at the end of the year. I thought about buying one as a Christmas tree ornament!

From what I understand, Austin (Cowboy HD) still has a few '06 R's at $10,995. They will gouge you on setup ($695) and shipping ($300), but it was still a pretty good deal.

The only business that I know which has their invoice price listed on the great wide web is the car business. Go ask a manager at the Burger King if you can buy a Whopper for cost and see what he says. Good luck finding out what "actual dealer cost" is because they don't have to say, its not published. I like to say..."if you like it, buy it. You will never regret what you buy, only what you don't buy. A good deal is perceived value. Homewok is the best advise for a consumer.

unbought products can be negotiated. a lot of the public doesn't know that you can negotiate a lesser price at a resturant or or anywhere for that matter. i don't do it all the time, but its been done and quiet humorous when you see the face of the mgr at a resturant when you try to talk them down on a steak:spank: :eek:fftopic:

I had a friend who was raised on the island of Guadalupe and was Lebanese. When he went to college he couldn't understand why the check out girl at Wal Mart wouldn't negotiate the prices. :rofl:
