Well, It's official. As many of you know, I have this thing for SKULLZ. Especailly the new HD Logo.

I wanted a set of custom skins. The appeal of the V-Rod is in the metal look. So, I was attracted to the metal skins.....which ment chrome. Sean Osbourne, AKA Ozzy Customs does some killer work with his custom chrome paint.....no secrets there.

Well, after about a year of dreaming and planning, the right opportunity presented itself...........Here is the result. Thank you Sean and Amy at Ozzy Customs. I AM THRILLED with the result. I should have them by weeks end. :thumb:

Edit.....
The Skins started life as a set of HD Chrome. Then Ozzy did a little Acid Etching, and Flat Black accents.

You know RJ everyone is giving you all these compliments, but I am going to have to go the other way. I don't like them at all. Horrible. You know why? I look at my paint and get really jealous!

Seriously, they are great! When you do the bars do you have any plans on customizing them at all? I want to weld the bars into the riser (replacing the bar that they give you with aluminum ones so you can do that) and then you can drill holes through the riser for the wires and possibly an internal throttle. It would also eliminate the hole on the bottom of the bars as well.

Damn RJ!!! I have one word for those skins: BRILLIANT!

Can't wait to see them. I'm with Hold Hard: When can we ride down to see you and your bike? The Detroit Boys are in sore need of a new RoadTrip destination. Name the day, place, and time. We'll be there. (Johnny, you better kick it into high gear and finish that street-fighter up!).

Don't get me wrong RJ... the skins are gorgeous honestly... i simply don't like the Skull and the HD writing anymore instead of being a 100% it loses 10% in my opinion.. just a matter of taste... Congrats man, i really love it

RJ........Great choice for the skins considering how your bike is set up! You know I'll catch up to you to see them. Just spoke to Ozzy's today and my new rear fender should be heading back to me this week as well. Looks like the Midwest business is keeping him hopping!

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty excited about them. Zee, you're right, it's not for everyone, but for me, they are PERFECT.

Me and RJ already been throught this...

That's a truly excellent custom there. When I get the nuts (i.e. cash), I wanna do something similar, minus the skulls. Much like RJ, I like the metal, brushed aluminum look of the V-Rod... It's the OG.

I'm thinkinh something in chrome like RJ's, with a colored flame over the chrome in that KCVROD orange. I don't care for airbrush... I certainly prfer the colored annodizing.

Looks awesome RJ. I like it. I only want a little color in mine.

Well, in my opinion pinstriping is best looking when done on black paint job.. I had a mixture between it and airbrush on my bike... After the job was almost done , i wanted first to have the Harley Davidson writing back on the sides until the painter convinced me it wouldn't be nice and we should keep it plain and i should take the time to think about it...
He was right, after a couple of months i decided to name the bike instead of having the Harley Davidson written back there...
If i would do something else now, RJ job is my favorite... Once again congrats..
Just out of curiousity RJ... How much does such a job costs in the US...
Mine costed 2500 euros
