A New member inspired this post.

Let's have our tall riders (6'0+) check in with some stats. What are you guys doing for foot controls, seats, handle bars, etc.

My Stats:
Height - 6'6" (2M for you metric types)
Weight - 235 lbs
Shoe Size - 17 US

My Bike Stats:
Handle bars: HD Drag Bars
Seat: Stock
Foot Controls: Stock

I am trying to get some extended foot controls from www.ride-inn.de, but they are not available right now, so I am also bugging VrodG to get me some more specifics on the ones he has so I can have them made locally.

Ride is overall pretty comfy but I'd love to have my legs extended about 3 more inches. That'd allow a bit more of an decline position so the bugs deflecting off my windshield wouldn't hit me square in the eyes.

Apparently not many people have forward controls. My last post on forward controls didn't really go far. The two biggest problems I see in designing a set for myself are:

1. Radiator forces the pegs about 2-1/2" out (bad for curves).
2. Haven't figured out what to do about the master cylinder.

Maybe these are the reasons Harley doesn't have extended reach?!

I'm ok with handlebars and seat... But I get mad cramps in my right foot if I spend too much time "ready to brake", like when approaching intersections or in heavy traffic. I'd like some decent extended foot controls, but they all seem to be ~$400 and I just can't afford that right now.

I'm only 6' tall
190 pounds
size 10 shoe

Stock everything except Sundowner seat and I fit my bike like a glove.

Did any of you tall guys check into the footpeg setup for the short person (reduced reach) and just flip them 180 degrees. I haven't checked into it because I don't need more room but I did that to some of my other bikes over the years and it worked.
That may give you an extra 1 1/2"-2" of leg room....if it works.

Just a thought but you guys probably already tried that.

My Bike Stats:
Handle bars: Stock now and changing to reduced reach
Seat: Corbin dual touring
Foot Controls: Rideinn controls 100 mm [4"] out will be adding 2" to 3" more.
Brother I haven't forgotten you I'm working 11 to 12 hrs a day, but when I get started I will post before and after pics... just busy and tired! Dual touring seat will move you back and sets better than that stock POS.

I am thinking about getting Extended reach handle bars. My left wrist starts to hurt after I ride a while. My RK and Dyna was OK, no pain.
But I would like to extend my legs out more.
Seat not to bad up to 250 miles

Overall I feel that I fit the bike really well. I have a '04 "B" model so my handle bars are adjustable. I have them lowered a little bit so my arms will stretch out. I think some extended foot controls would make the bike perfect.

Sundowner, stock footpegs, but custom hiway pegs. On longish rides, I can almost extend my legs fully on the hiway pegs. See my post "2000 miles, 6 days". I can also rest my heels on the pegs for a full stretch out. I also arrange the rear pegs for my legs when on a long ride without passenger - see same post.
Oh yes, lowers mounted to the touring shield. See post in "How to"

Foot Controls: Chrome V-mod 2in Extended (love them)

No dragging problems on corners and they look pretty sweet. They flow with the bike. The sundowner seat moved my riding position up 1inch but the ride difference is well worth it. If I need to stretch out, I ride broken ankle style:D:D

Feeling height discriminated and vertically challenged

Man, some of you lads must have eaten your parents out of house and home!

I put Harley Davidson VRod drag bars , straightens out my arms way better. Sun downer seat and would love to have foward controls at least 3 to 4 inches.

Wow you guys are getting real personal, I thought someone was going to give the size of their Johnson.
As for me
6'1"
235lbs.
Bars: V-Mod Drag Bar
Seat: Sundowner
Controls: Stock
the eat is really cool, but I'd like to be a little lower. There is a guy that makes seat out here and sells to V-Mods. Click on the custom seat, we can group buy these if you want.
