Fender stays on, you do not need to remove it, actually you use it a little for spacing.

From the Superbrace Web site, it is Mirror Polished Aluminum, not Chrome.

I thought they were chrome but found out they are mirror polished... because it is a moving part if they were chrome they would peel....
